Talk to Raizin about that one. HRC will tell you that you only need p/r/r's. There are other things that should be done in my opinion before sealing that engine up.

And another thing! Don't do it - If you bought a 1g GSX, you wouldnt have to touch the block for 400 horse. All the money you spend on making your rs a 400 bhp monster, you can buy a 1g and make it into an 11 sec daily driver and have money left over. (10-11 thousand dollars)

mine will be done today and will be put back together by friday-sat. it ran me 425 to pull and put back & 500 to rebuild& machine it. total i was able to stay under 1000

Who, me?

Crower billet rods, JE 8.8:1 compression forged pistons and rings (HRC), Federal Mogul/Clevite 77 main and rod bearings, Mallory oil pump. Also having my new transmission and clutch installed with the R&R.

All my fuel needs to 15PSI have already been met. 440's, SAFC, 3:1 riser, airtex inline and a walbro 255 intank, both wired to the battery.

i didn't blow from lack of fuel, that's for sure. I blew from too much boost and probably too much timing advance at WOT, leading to detonation induced piston failure...

yeah, I'm kinda curious too....should I put a kit on, and lets say I just want to rebuild the motor before it blows....

what am I lookin to pay:

eagle rods, new pistons(JE?), rings, waterpump, timing belt, head gasket, what else would you reccommend getting?

and whats a good price estimate here?
