what would i need to run 10 pounds of boost i got a star stage 2 kit on my 99rs also just got greddy emanage with some 440's and inj harness wil i be ok on stock internals if i tune with a wideband or no what should i watch for while tuning please help me out guys i dont want to mess up my engine it only has 60000 well maintained miles on it later

You need to use punctuation man. Seriously.

I ran 10lbs of boost on my stock bottom end. Your fuel system will be good for 21lbs of boost, but you need a built bottom end. You will bust your bottom end on 10lbs after awhile.

I wouldnt run 21psi of boost on that turbo with only 440's.. Correctly tuned, even 10psi is pushing it on a stock bottom end. It will work, just how long, thats the question. Even slight amounts of detonation at that boost level on stock internals, and it will crack your piston ring lands in no time. Be sure to run a good FMIC, and plenty of fuel if you decide to run 10 lbs. 440's will be fine for 10-15 lbs.

I will honestly tell you NOT to do it unless you are ready to have your bottom end replaced. cus it will most likely break some time. Hell some good detonation while at the dyno tuning it could break it. Just my advice.

i boosted a strong 10psi on my stock bottom end for over 25,000 miles, the motor had 118,000 when i turboed it too

how much boost are you running?

yea some people might get lucky and be able to run 10psi for a long time on their stock bottom end, especially if they know what they're doing and what to look for, but like someone else said, if you don't have the money to do a bottom end rebuild right now, don't boost 10psi, unless you want a car out of commission for like a year until you can pay for it. But like they said before, your car, your money, your choice, but i think it's risky

It'll blow at 10psi. I'm psychic and I'm telling you, it just can't take it. lol Ive ran 5-7 since 36,000 miles and I now have 70k on it...never had a problem.
