Well this thursday I am going to be wiring the afc finally and leaning out my idle hardcore because its rediculousy rich. Im getting black powder on my rear bumper just from idle, lol. I am running 440 injectors with sfmu and walbro 255 intank. Anyhow, I know how to set the basic settings from searching on the board but I was wondering if anyone can tell me how just lean out the idle and not anything else for now. I am throwing a CEL just from idle for bank 1 too rich. I dont have the instructions for the afc and my freaking computer only loads the japanese website for apexi. so if someone can point me in the right direction for just tuning the afc for leaning out an idle, i would aprreciate it and give some points :) thanks in advance for an info you can throw at me.

You want to drop the 1000rpm range mike. drop it to about -10% and that should have you in the ballpark. that will be the only rpm range you adjust that drastically. the rest should be around -/+ 4%.

you might have to lean it out quite a bit more depending on your fuel pressure at idle. I had to lean mine to close to -30 so that it would stay close to 14.7:1. (my set up was 440's walbro and sfmu also)

I have the same exact set up you have (use to have my rear bumper covered in black soot too) and I'm telling you -10% is not gonna do anything for you. My fuel pressure at idle is 18-20 psi and i need around -36% at idle. Just do it little by little, -20% is probably a good start but i garantee you'll go much lower than that. I read some people here had it as low as -50% with this set up.

mine was -11% with 450cc injectors thank you. I never said that was going to be it, i said ballpark........which since that concept is new to you it also can be referred to as a startng point.
