84643, Quick ? on Greddy Type S BOV adjustment screw
Posted by bokchoi, Apr-06-05 11:04 AM
Hey,
I just recently purchased a Greddy type s bov from a seller and I noticed that the adjustment screw looked a little, odd. Because it didnt feel like an adjusting screw at all. It loosens and tightens like a regular nut (runs really smooth by hand all until it reaches to the end "HARD" of course). So I thought maybe he just placed any kind of screw on top. I just wanted to know if this is replaceable or whether this was some special bolt. I've looked at pictures on ebay on their Greddy type S bovs and it looked somewhat different I couldnt tell. All I can say is that it didnt feel like an adjustment screw at all and was wondering if someone could post pics of how it looks or where I can get it. Thanks

do you mean the allen screw in the middle or the lock nut holding it in place. just asking because you said it moves like a regular nut

all the screw does is press a plate down against a spring when you adjust it to hard or let the spring pressure off when you set it to off

and yes a regular screw and nut will work because i lost the original allen set screw and jam nut and replaced them at ace hardware
