i put my stage II kit in today and i cranked it up and damn that fuel pump is freaking loud. is it supposed to be that freaking loud? and if so how did you guys deaden the sound? I and hear it really bad inside the car! HELP!

You don't like that sound...I used to not like it but I got used to it. It will get louder as you break it in and you drive for a long time. Sounds like an airplane...pretty coo. I guess you could dampen it with dynomat but it ruins the whole 'that car sounds wierd - wonder what he gots' thing

Heh I have an airtex inline, woohoo freaking loud. Plus if you do the rewire fuel pump mod your stock pump even gets loud. You'll just have to get used to it or turn up the beats were you can't hear it anymore.

You really do get used to it. It was annoying at first, but in that cool kind of way.
I need to get used to the sound of a 3" exhaust now :)

WHat 3inch system ya got? I'm having one made up. What do you mean by getting used to it? Is it louder than say a performance muffler. Do you have a resonator also? I have the cat, resonator, and muffler ready to be install, I just need funds to get it installed.

I just installed a stage 2 on mine also, the fuel pump was loud as shit and all i did was adjust the fuel regulator...it got quiet real fast
