How do I disassemble a Super 16g turbo? I removed to clamp and the turbo came into 2 peices then i removed the middle part that has the exhaust and intake turbines, but now im stuck. I removed the nut but the bolt wont move and it just spins both turbines. How do i remove the turbines from the middle section of the turbo. I am trying to send this out to get ceramic coated and i want to send the middle housing out as well so it doesnt go ceramic coating, rust, ceramic coating. Hope everyone knows what I am talking about i feel like i didnt explain it all to well. Thanks

cant help ya with the actual dissassembly of it, but if you take the wheels off, you MUST get it balanced. If not, then it can damage/destroy the bearings in short order. If you can effectivly mark exactly where the wheels were bolted onto the shaft, and can put them back where they were *exactly*, then you can prob get away without having it balanced.

Just make sure you mark the posistion of the wheels when you remove them, and you should be fine. I rebuilt mine back in Janurary.

Wow great write up run4cvr that was exactly what i was looking for. After reading you 2's comments on having to have it rebalanced I am going to steer clear of it.
