I'll snap some pictures when I'm near my car next. (It's stored an hour away) I've got a 1st gen SMIC right behind the drivers side hole in the bumper near the fog light. I've also got two custom sprayers to cool it off, and a peice of plastic cut out behind the I/C so the air goes into the wheel well (There's screen to protect the I/C. It's riveted into place with custom mounts. Pictures will help me explain.

It might be a week before I can get them, but I can't host them anywhere. Do you have an email?

i have pics at home... dunno how to post them, but i can describe it to you lol. i took out that black plastic cover under the fuse box. the inlet that comes in at 90* to the ic is sticking out through that hole(with the coupler on it) the outlet with the little bend in it is coming out down by the lower radiator hose. i had to butcher up the splash shield a little tho. only problem is i only have one bolt holding it on :+ but its holding fine, and im thinking it will hold even better with pipes connected to it. if you look up under there there is a beam running front to back, and there are 2 bolts in it. i removed the one farthest back, and bought a long bolt and a bunch of washers. the bolt is M10 fine threading (1.25). i had to bend one of the mounting brackets a little bit, but it seems to be working good.

alright, there still in my camera and i dont think i took any pics of where the couplers came out so i will take a couple more tomarrow. but i dont feel like getting the ones i have on the comp now, plus i have to do some editing on paint to show where the bolts i used go. so ill email you them tomarrow night.

The view from the bottom of the car. If you look closely, you can see where I bolted the small bracket on the IC to the frame rail of the car. there is a hole already there in the frame, and I just used a normal nut and bolt. This holds the IC ok, but i used 2 support brackets to mount it more firmly to the car. I also used some roof flashing to make air diflectors to help concentrate airflow to the IC only, through the fog and air dam openings. It worked quite well actually.


Top view..Its a tight fit behind the fuse box wiring harness..You have to take out a small black plastic cover under the fuse box, and you may have to cut out or enlarge the stock air intake opening in the fuse box bracket.

damn your pics, and the way you mounted it beat mine lol. but ill send you those pics to post later tonight anyways just to give more ideas.

That's basically how I mounted mine. Although I put some sprayers in the front air scoop to throw water/R-OH on it.
