Ok guys i know you guys are like oh no, not another Sfmu post, but i just need a quick answer. I know i'm suppose to use the largest disk with the hardest spring with my setup, but i need to know what ring to use?? oh, and how the hell do i open that bitch up? took off all the bolts, and just cant open it up.
I referred back to the diagram thats on the "things we've seen before", but my question there was never answered. thanks
oh, and i'm on stock injectors, until i put the 440cc's on.
i think i'm suppose to ust eh 2.72disk/ring combo, but dont really know. this smfu is confusing to me

the largest disc doesn't use a ring
after you remove the alan bolts, it should just pop apart.

if you use a small screw driver you might be able to pry it open, but be careful that you don't damage the diaphram

cool. thanks man

DO NOT pry it open! If you have all the allen screws out, just take the SFMU and lightly tap the whole thing against a workbench, like right where the 2 sections meet, and it will separate easy. You dont really want to pry it because you can damage the diaphram and also the soft aluminum the body is made out of.

tapping it on a work bench doesnt do it. this thing is tightly sealed for some reason.

Heat it up or force some compressed air on the side where its sealed.

it should just come right off as the spring is putting pressure on the top to move up. You sure you opened up the correct side?? hehe

That's the first time I've heard that.... Huh?
Also, largest disk and spring would be for 440's, not stock injectors like he has.... right?
I'm feeling a bit lost right now.

Yep, the largest disk does NOT use a ring. The larger the disk, the higher the rate of gain of the fuel pressure. So for stock injectors, you def want to use the largest disk. I even used the largest disk with the 30lb injectors, and used the bleed valve to lower the boosted pressure a bit..this way i had plenty of fuel available if i needed it.

thanx for the backup.
I used the 2.72" disc/ring with 440cc injectors.

I do understand what your saying about the diaphram, I had that same prob. I dont think it was as stuck as yours is though.
