does anyone know the maximum temperature the outside of the hahn manifold should reach? even a generalized guess? 500 degrees, 800 degrees, or closer to 1200 degrees? i am planning to match the manifold to the BOV and piping which ive already had painted and will be getting the manifold heat-painted as well if it can withstand the temperatures the paint is recommended for.

Well EGTs can hit upwards of 1600 degrees, and since those hot gases exit right into the manifold at a high velocity, I would assume that it gets pretty close to that temperature.

You can colored ceramic coated from Jet-Hot. I dont think any normal high temp paint will work. I couldn't even get 1500deg paint to stay on my 1rst header for very long and I cured it as instructed and all.

well i may try it and see what happens, did the paint you used burn off or did it catch fire or did it melt and make shit nasty?
