holy shit...if it's not one thing it's another. i swear satan has fucked me over this time...the one down the street that worked on my car has returned it to me with (almost) more problems that it had when i left it. when i went in there to install my downpipe and FPR myself (yes i did it myself, they are fucking retarded) they showed me how the original oil pressure sending unit diaphragm was busted and oil was leaking from it. so i go down the road and get a new one from autozone...install it along with the oil feed line, done. now i have a serious oil leak coming from the back of the block and the oil is dripping onto the crossmember and then onto the ground...in the same place it did before when the sending unit was busted. could this new one really have malfunctioned already? if not, what else is there back there that could be leaking besides the rear main seal? damnit i have to take this car back to them just so i can check this out cause im not doing this with the car on jackstands again.

did you use teflon paste on your fittings? If you don't they will leak.

yes, all the ones that came with the turbo kit originally. i didnt use it on the new oil pressure sender, but i dont think it would leak this badly.

I would take it off and put some paste on there. But I don't know if that is what is leaking so much, anyway you can get the car on a rack and start it up? Look to see where the leak is comming from?

Satan screwed you over good. There is no way a busted diaphargm in the stock oil pressure sending unit could cause a leak. Maybe if it's not tightened all the way down or if the teflon tape/paste broke down or isn't in there.

So it's not the sending unit thats busted. Since you did the oil line kit for your HRC turbo there is most likely something there that is not tightened that is leaking. Also, not every fitting should have teflon tape/paste. The oil line feed is a compression AN fitting which seals with compression. Using some form of teflon tape/paste on these type of fittings can cause it not to seal properly. As for the other fittings I believe they are all NPT fittings that will need the teflon tape/paste. Most likely there is something that is not properly sealed on the T-block that comes with the oil line kit. Best thing to do is just redo all of it and make sure everything is tight and the fittings that are necessary have teflon tape/paste. But this is all very easy to do with the car on jackstands. No need to take it to the stealership. They've already fed you a load of bull once.

you know how the adapter screws into the block and then the oil press switch into the adapter? maybe your adapter into the block isnt tight enough. i just did this like 2 days ago when i did mine and holy shit, i leaked like half a quart when i started it. and it was all because the actual adapter wasnt tight enough into the block threads. check that out man. good luck

A flare fitting needs no teflon paste...but i know that isnt your problem. i trust you you used paste and not tape, in my experience, it works much better. when me and my dad built my engine, WAAAY back in the day, the "adapter" fitting in my star kit was the wrong thread, so we had to improvise. we machined a steel adapter instead, and forgive me for forgetting the actual name, but we used a red paste, really tacky...to seal the threads. i believe it was make by loc-tite, but it was NOT a thread locker...just a sealer. he got it from his work, and it was VERY expensive. its been on there over 4 years now...never leaked.

It's the sending unit. When you put it back in you said you did not use the teflon tape/paste, so that is where your leaking. As for your worry about the rear main seal, take a look at that tranny access cover and see if it's coming from there, but I would bet dollars to doughnuts it's that sender with no teflon that is your issue. You have to remember that the oil comming through there is preasurized so it will leak a good bit if the seal is bad...

I agree with ^^^, but, every "new" oil sending unit i have ever seen/bought, CAME with the paste already on the threads....and he said he bought a brand new one.

I have never bought one new, but you are saying they have paste on the ends when you buy them??? That seems like a packaging nightmare...lol. I don't know cyan, did you see paste on the threads? Anywho just get the car up in the air and go to town back there and you will get it. I battled an oil leak for 6 months before I completly killed it...
