8263, Bottom End Build Question - Gaskets Posted by Black97GS, Sep-11-01 01:00 AM Anyone have a list of the gaskets that will need replacing? I am doing a full bottom end rebuild, including turning the crank, rods, piston, oil pump, and a timing belt. I hate to buy the handful of gaskets from the dealer at their outrageous prices. Is there a complete engine gasket set somewhere I can buy? I am buying the bottom end rebuild kit from Howell, but it, interestingly enough, only comes with oil pan gasket and rear main seal. The only other thing I know for sure that would need replacement is the head gasket and probably cam cover gasket. Any help would be appreciated. | |
