Boost is great. :)

Today I was running around hitting 23psi all day long... haha, such fun. :)

Running nitrous at the same time is cool also... :)

Can we say Nitrous anti-Lag... instant 23 psi... haha.

That is all.

;)

what was your timing with 23psi? what octane? you must have been knockin pretty good if you were on pump gas.
81954, RE: 23psi... such fun.
Posted by MrSlick, Jan-30-05 05:46 PM
Timing at 23psi was 17 degrees BTDC. I know cause that's what I had it running at. ;)

92 Octane.

No knock here thanks... ;)

I run 20psi+ daily. She loves it :cheers

If he can control timing...he can run whatever boost he wants.....gotta love it.....

It was quite fun spinning the tires in 3rd and 4th gears :) @ 80 MPH. ;)

Me thinks some video action should be taken tomorrow. :)

Oh, and 2 members fromt his board have rode in my car... DJ420A... he got the nitrous experience today ;)
And another guy, can't remember his name right now... he bought a motor from me.

Time for some Banana Nesquick ;)

Peace.

When we get a chance to meet up in the next few weeks, I'll take you for a ride running 24 psi. I'll warn you ahead of time though... you won't like your stage 2 setup for long after feeling that ;)

what is the biggest size injectors that the megasquirt can run. I'm trying to calculate the cost of your set up because i want to get your setup with my tax return i have a built bottom end running 14psi daily on a t3t4 63 trim 91 octane. so the megasquirt would run 350$ the 1to1 regulator like 150$ i don't know how much the injectors would be i want 750cc like yours and i don't know what else i need. I probably need to hook up with xtrickedeclipse to see how his system is running do you still need an MSD? for more spark? i know the megasquirt controls the timming. I did my own turbo system but when it comes to tunning i'm not so good at it. i have a 95 ESi is the wiring schamactic going to be different than your MR SLICK. My brother has a laptop, is there any way for you to make a really rich map table pretuned for my t3t4 63trim setup for 25psi? than maybe i can tune from there to be on the safe side. i know alot of factors come into play with our turbo setups ,intercooler, turbo size, wheather, elevation, but if you can set up a system like HRC fro 25psi running really rich than maybe i can tune from there or get help from other 2gnters out here in SoCalifornia

23lbs on 92 octane? Post the videos, Lee. I wanna see my future. MUHAHAHA!

IT seems ot have no problem flowing at 25psi... :)
That's what I was hitting this morning... ooops. :)

The Starion IC seems plenty efficient for the winter. Might have to get better in the summer.. ;)
But for right now like today my Intake Air temps were like mid 40's. Outside temp was mid 30's.

His turbo is larger than yours. ;)

I've been running 25psi on the 25g from hahn since a little after the shootout. It was fun as hell, but the 8 injector setup couldn't handle it that well because I had too much timing advance. I had to run 9:1 afr just to keep my egt's down, but now I have the MS fully running. Just a few ignition bugs to work out. But I started tearing it down to test fit the 3" downpipes on my buddies stock 95 Talon to be sure it will fit for everyone. I'm probably going to powder coat a shit ton of ugly parts under the hood while I have it tore down also.

I've been running 28-30 PSI with a 20G and Accel DFI for 6-8 months but I'm using a Megasquirt now too. It works very very well with the 420A and just about every other engine out there. The bad thing about the Accel DFI 6 is that idle, cruise, and accel fueling is impossible to keep consistent.
82060, RE: 23psi... such fun.

Yeah i've actually been running 25psi a few times. But it's just too crazy... not enough traction right now... LOL roads are too shitty.

I'm gonna try and see if I have time tomorrow to get some video action... ;)

I know this is the wrong section. But since some people are bringing up the subject of traction. Has anyone had any kind of trouble with the phantom grip? I am too going to the Megasquirt and increasing the boost and I just have the open diff. So I know I am going to have to get some sort of lsd.

Not to mention having no way to truly control timing. That was why I went with an EDIS/ Gen 7 DFI set up for all of 3 months. Consistancy was still an issue with that, so now the MS is on it's way.
