81871, interesting turbo setup

Here this is for all you guys that want more exhaust manifold options for you turbo kit. Use your stock exhaust mani or a aftermarket 4-2-1 header.

I don't think this setup will do any good since it is so far back in the exhaust system. I don't think there is enough force to spin the turbine fast enought to get any big power gains especially on a 4 banger. And can't forget turbo lag. Could be different for a v8's though since there is a turbo kit available this way.

What are your opinions on this?

I'm thinking this car won't see any real street time. It looks lowered and that would be a very expensive scrape. But it is innovative, first time I've ever seen anything like it.

You gotta be kidding me...

Think how inefficient that is, on top of the oil return line backing up into the turbo.

This setup was beat to death a while ago.

It is an acutal company that makes these kits. But they started out on domestic trucks with v8's and they moved to V8 f-bodies. And I know some V6 f-body guys are considering it. I don't know why they think it'll work good on 4 bangers though. :shrug

I don't think it's a very practical setup/location for a street car.:shrug
