Fucken car. I left it running for about 15 minutes so it can warm up being it 9 degrees here. Feeling good and getting and was on my way to the gym. Step on the gas and the car shuts down. Try to restart the car, but wait, where is the high pitch squeeling sound that the inline pump makes? Now it just makes a soft wind-up sound. Which means either not enough power is getting to the pump, due to relay going bad or it has crapped out. Well car would not turn over at all. Not enough fuel in the engine. You may wonder, well the stock intank should be enough to let you start the car and drive it around without boosting. Unfortunately I fear that my stock intank has went also. I am pissed cuz it's fucken cold outside and I can't move my car into the garage. Anyone else had same problems. You guys that switched over to the walbro 255hp, did you completely remove the inline pump or just left it there?

I used both the inline and the Walbro 255lphHP, never had any problems. :shrug Did you do the fuelpump rewire mod for BOTH pumps?

Being it is that cold around here, it is possible that your line froze. Even with high octane, condensation can build up and give you a headach.

no rewire mod. I doubt it would have frozen since it was running fine for 15-20 minutes. So what is this rewire mod, I read on it like 3 years ago, but forgot all about it. The 255lph should be good enough for 20psi right?
ps. however I hope you're right Rob. It would be less stressful right now if you are right.

I removed mine and just put the 255 in with no problems. It was nice as hell to get rid of the insane loudness of the inline.

Get a new relay before putting in a new pump again. Also like mentioned, you want to use that relay to power both pumps. You just use the black/blue wire at the stock pump to turn on your relay..Depending on your injector size and maximum fuel pressures you are running, it's hard to say if just the walboro will sufficient. I would say to keep fuel pressure no more than 80-85 psi with just the walboro. I would not run the walboro by itself with stock injectors. I use the 8 injector setup with just the walboro intank, and it works just fine.

EDIT: you NEED to do the rewire mod with a relay for the pumps. The stock wiring is not large enough gauge to handle the current demands of both pumps. Basically get a SPDT 12 volt relay, and run at least a 10-12 gauge wire fused at the battery, and run it to the back of the car. Connect the relay pins as follows:
85-ground 86-black/blue wire at the stock pump- you want to cut this wire going into the stock pump, and this wire will now only power your relay 87- power wire from the battery 30- 12 volt output to the stock pump(the other end of the black/blue wire going towards the intank pump), and inline pump. I would run the ground from the inline pump right with the ground on pin 85 to keep it all together and neat. 87a- not used

I followed the wiring for the relay straigt from the HRC manual and I believe it's hooked up just like you said. First thing I did was get a new relay and I'm still having same problems. I think I'll be getting the walbro and leave the inline in there whether its working or not.

Here is the rewire mod http://www.2gnt.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=78

If the inline isn't working, you should remove or replace it, as it could be a serious restriction in the flow.
Make sure you're running at least 12 gauge wire all the way from the battery to both pumps, and your relay is rated for high enough amperage (20-30A)to handle them.

relays and wires are good (new relay and 12 guage wires all round). I can hear the inline winding, but it doesn't give that loud winding noise like before. Car wont turn over like it used to with the in line off which causes me to believe that the stock fuel pump is dead too.

Yeah that sounds like just the intank pump is dead then.
The inline is trying to suck fuel through the dead intank pump, which reduces its flow a lot.

nah, I think the accel is on it's way too. It makes a very low winding noise instead of the usual ass raped pig one. Regardless its coming out and I'm putting in a walbro 255lph hp intank. Fucken walbro's are going out for 90 bucks off ebay and the only ones who stock them near me wants 120 for it.
