Hey, I saw this on Ebay and was seeing if you all thought it would be worth my time and hard earned money for what this comes with. Is this a good turbo? yay or nay?

Hey, thanks for the comments, and the comedy. Just out of curiosity though, what makes you guys give it a nay?? The guy said he's out of BOV's so he would upgrade mine to a HKS SSQ for free. Would it be a good deal if the price didn't get too high? Let me know what's up so I can give my opinion to other people one day. Thx

Just look at it. It's facing the wrong way. Look at the bend in the down pipe just after the turbo. Somebody just threw something together real quick. Stick to hahn or star, you get what you pay for.

Dude, the picture is just posted in reverse. It's a good setup, the turbo's good. A super 60 Trim. I'd love to have that! That compressor will be able to push w/ a flow rate of 35 lb/min. I vote yes. The manifold is in a perfect alignment w/ the 3rd cylinder. It'll fit. Whoever made it, knew what was in the way and what not.

the super 60 turbo is NOT meant for us... its meant for a 2.2L turbododge motor that is a torque monster, peak torque around 2800rpms, which means peak flow accordingly. its quoted, with the S60 package, to make 300hp@14psi(thats ALOT for a turbododge at that boost) but, the turbine is antiquated (ever see a pic of one? its like a fucking paddlewheel paddle!) mainly because its a 1970s design cobbled together for 1980s performance.

why are people quoting meaningless flow rates?? theres no stated PR or efficiency? 35 lb/min is utterly meaningless.
ok, I just looked at the s60 compressor map, you DO realize that 35 LB/min is at 65% eff. at a PR of 2.4, which translates to ~20 psi. yeah. not happenin.

Yeah, the turbo is a little big. But i'm just saying it can move that much air. Hmm...@ 65% Effeciency, it'll be making more heat than boost. Oh-well. Kinda makes me wonder if it would work on my setup...

it could work, its 65% efficiency @ 35lbs/min of air, which i highly doubt you are gonna get near at that PR, you just gotta plot your flow lines then see where you are

looks like a good setup to me, i don't think that pic of the manifold is correct though. probably just the wrong pic, i wouldn't chance it for anything over 900 dollars. i have a custom kit using basicly that turbo, everything's worked out ok for me.

Good point, I guess looking at obvious shit might help huh? Well, NAY then dammit!! Hey, this is the same turbo that's in the Star kit right??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7945719475&category=33742&sspagename=WDVW

My 2G is sponsored by them...

That's pretty sweet, how hard is it to get sponsored by them?? Just curious, I was going to take my car there to get it Dyno tuned when I got my turbo setup. I live in Baker Oregon, ya know, that stretch of highway where you say "where the hell are we and why is everyone dating their sister"?

Ok, I said is it a good deal if the price doesn't go very high. I would never pay that much for something so simple.
