8134, Compression test need advice....

Hello. I was wondering i know how to do a compression test basic up to the this point only, its just When it says to block open the throttle, does it matter how much the throttle is open ? what should i use to allow enough air to come in? as far as blocking the throttle?... also could i just have a friend step on the gas to the floor each time? so that the same amount of air is going in?... also should i crack it once and see my compression then do it 3 more times ( total of 4 crank ) and go from their for each one? also after each crack should i reset the psi back to 0 out of the 4 cranks? .. this is done on a 2gnt 99... thanks Michael 99gs

1. pull the fuel pump relay
2. remove all 4 sparkpulgs
3. insert compression tester in cylinder 1
4. floor it.
5. crank it. Have a friend watch until it doesn't climb any more. After that, yer done.
6. repeat for each cylinder.

If one is 15-20PSI lower than the ones next to it, put in a teaspoon of clean motor oil. Redo. If the compression increases by 15-20PSI, it's rings. If not, it's something else.

Good luck!

It's a little low, but certainly within spec. if it is +/-20%, then it should be worried about.. Your numbers look good, man. I'd slap a turbo on that.
