Gotta love that BOV sound ;) Anyway, I got the kit completed and everything seems to be fine. The only question I have is a fuel pressure question. I have a stock exhaust on currently and I believe that is what is causing my boost to peak around 7 psi. At wide open throttle my fuel pressure is reading about 103 psi. I figure that should be about right for 7 psi right, or should I dial that pressure up to around 110 since I would be boosting 8-9 psi if I had better exhaust flow? Also, is the HRC inline pump supposed to be running all the time? I read in the instructions that it is only used when the pressure is needed. I figure It just pumps harder when it needs to but I want to make sure in case I wired the relay wrong. Oh and on the down side... On the first run using the turbo, I broke the front left upper ball joint. It isnt totally busted but it slides back and fourth about 1/8 inch when I accelerate or slow down ;(

Boost is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Someone else might want to comment on this, but I think anything past like 90psi is pretty damn high for fuel pressure, you better make sure your uel lines are all stainless steal braided lines cause I dunno if reg fuel hose will last long... PS, I need to hook up my fuel press gauge, where can I find braided line and T fittings and -4an fittings?

I'm running a HRC Stage 2 kit. The instructions for the kit say that at 9 psi of boost, you should be running 105-110 psi fuel pressure, so I assume that the lines provided will work fine and they seem to be just fine so far.

If you still have stock exhaust you better turn the boost down. Another guy here (carlo) was running high boost on his star kit (now mine :-)) and he burnt all his valves and had to get another engine. I'd keep it around 5 or so till you can get a cat back system.

You are ok. Fuel pressure is fine, boost is fine, fuel lines are fine, do not worry about it. Get the ball joint fixed and happy boosting.

BTW, a braided ss line does not make the line stronger. It is still some type of rubber inside, like a normal line, but with the stainless steel to protect it on the outside and to prevent hose flexing. It is actually still possible to burst a SS line which can be just as big of a mess. The quality of the rubber used within the ss will define how good of a line it really is.
