Are there any real benefits worth the cost of this type of turbo? And are there any made for the Hahn style manifold? If not, who makes a decent manifold for the 420a? External or internal wastegate-which is better? I have all of the supporting mods to run a decent amount of boost (8 inj,etc) but the 16g isn't efficient at 20+ boost levels. And I am not convinced that the super series turbos that Hahn offers is the only way to go. What do you guys think? TIA

The ball bearing turbo are worth every penny. I don't own one but my friend does in his H-22 powered Civic. Also there are Dual Ball Bearing Turbo's(T3/T4)like the one in my friend Civic. At 3000rpm the turbo was spooled and kept on spooling until he shifted at around 9800rpm. It a garrett by the way. Get one of these and you will never regret it. Its a pricey turbo but If you want true power then go with it.

(I wish I had 10k-15k like my friend to dump in a car without being in debt);(

why would anyone want a ball bearing t25?! we sell that one for around the same price, reason for not selling it, who wants to spend almost 1k on a turbo and end with 350hp.

I second that... being realistic is not the same as being negative ;)

Usually the only guys that go for a T28 are 2nd gen turbo guys.. and they're used to the t25... so anything is better than that :)

BTW, is there a BB turbo that can use the HRC manifold? Or would it have to have an external wastegate, etc.?

The HRC manifold has a T3 flange...
As far as I know, there are plenty of BB turbo's out there that come with a T3 flange on the turbine side. ;)

I think he thought I was attacking his company prices. I was not, and I only put that one up there as an example.

Anyway looks like BlueMoonEclise found a better price from either of the first two places.
Looks like if you go that route you will need an external wastegate as well.

Cool thing Mr. Slick. I was looking at the FP 3052, the above picture, full BB, external WG. Does anyone, or is anyone, using a FP 3052 turbo? I used to visit dsmtalk.com every now and then, some guy had a very nice review on the FP turbos.

I've been doing some research on the GT series and turbo shopping in general, and I think anyone who knows about the GT28 would agree it would probably be a riot to drive a car with one of those. No doubt it would fall on it's face in comparisson to a GT30 or better, but from what I've read, it's about as close to a supercharger as you can get on a DSM. They say it starts spooling almost instantly. It would make a great turbo for an autocross car, but it would leave you wanting more if you prefer the straight line quarters. And when you think about it, how many cars do you see in your town with 350hp?
