Hey, i searched but didnt see anything like it, whats the fastest a 2gnt has run with only nitrous, no turbo? what about only nitrous on stock internals? i was just curious. if its been talked about please give me a link. thanks

i saw some guy on tooners who supposedly had a built bottom end with 10:5 compression and a 100 shot that ran a high 13 but i cant recall seeing a timeslip. a friend of mine on this site tho, with a 50 shot on stock internals, managed to run a 14.5. not sure if those are the fastest times but they are the fastest i remember.

i cant believe you were crazy enough to do a 100 shot on stock internals. he had minor supporting mods for the 50 shot and im guessin he was a pretty good driver but i saw the slip back in the day and thats what he managed to pull off.

I ran a 13.7 with a 2.25 60 ft time and a trap speed of 106.02 with a 100 shot, nitto drag radials, afx udp, built bottom end with 10.5 pistons, crower stage 2 cams, stage 3 spec clutch, headers, 2.5" inch catback, 55mm bored throttle body, testpipe, and CAI.

damn thats quite a set up you have there. thats basically what i want my car to be when im done with her. how come you only ran a 100 shot? ever think of going higher or were you afraid of the consequenses? i basically want the same set up as you but i was looking at possibly running a 150 shot. you think that is too high for 10.5 compression or not? any other times? thanks

Yeah i wanna go higher but i need to get the stainless steel valves, and build a direct port system and maybe with some slicks and some 2.0 or 1.9 60ft times i can get to the very high 12s. Thats my goal get to the high 12s

We only have an 1/8 mile track around here and I usually bump off a low 9.7 @75-77mph with a best 60ft of 2.3 on street tires.

I'm running a similar setup with the NA mods, n20, and the stock bottom end.

I'm going to be running the MS this spring with ignition control and possibly a set of cams. I'd really like to get the aggressiveness of the crower 3s, but they didnt fare too well in boosted aplications and n20 is still forced induction.

I just converted my best 1/8(9.68) to 1/4 and it came out to be a 15.192.

My only real setback, other than cash ;), is that this is my daily driver and I'm not looking to blow her up. I'm going to need a clutch and LSD soon as it is. Feel free to IM me and we can share ideas and whatnot.

that would be really nice. high 12's would be awesome to have without a turbo. i totally forgot about the valves. im still trying to decide if i want to go 10.5 comp all nitrous, or 8.8 comp turbo + nitrous... im not sure. i think it will all come down to money, and i wont be able to do any of this for about 4 years since i will be a poor college kid starting next year. gives me lots of time to think.

because i havnt seen any after market pistons come in the stock comp, the only one i saw was some guy who had them custom made.

I'm running JE with 8.8:1 comp ratio and have had to run the car NA (when a boost tube let go). The car didn't seem to run much different than stock.

GS, I'm in your same situation. I've got a few ideas I'm plotting. It sucks being a highschool kid with tons of ambition and no source of income. lol

A WET kit already gives you all the added fuel you will need with the nitrous.

Why complicate it?

When i move back to NH I'll let you know what i run with a 75 shot. All i can say is i left a 3.5L 04 altima in my rearview with a 75 shot.

ya ive had some pretty good kills too... did try to race a new mustang cobra... didnt go so well...it wasnt too bad, but i didnt win, my only loss while spraying so far.

As far as GT's are concerned, you should rape them up to 65-70mph then it could get ugly. I bet lightly modded GT's at the track all the time. They cover alot of ground when they hit 3rd gear though.

The wet kit does add fuel, but I'm sure after a certain level I'd need a greater FP and I don't wanna starve the car. Plus the ZEX stops spraying when the FP or N20 pressure gets low. Which reminds me I need a bottle warmer, a 4an T an some more line.

A larger pump will cause shitty gas mileage while off the spray. It'd be better to regulate my fuel pressure methinks.

anyone who thinks you are required to have a progressive controller with 100hp shot is full of shit to be honest. outside the fact the itrous is instantaneous there isnt a huge different concept from turbo boost other than nitrous is a much cooler charge and its mostly pure oxygen (with a few additives). you can run a 150shot if you have the fuel metering precise and learn to engage the nitrous at the right time.

Woodley if your worried about fuel do what most guys do with a high HP shot do. run a secondary fuel pump and regulator to the fuel solinoid only and do not tap off the stock fuel rail. You can even run a small fuel cell for the fuel required during spray. for 100hp i dont think you need to do anything but upgrade the fuel pump to lets say a 190 walbro....that pump should not over-run you factory reg and still flow enough to support your needs.

Getting a progressive controller to work with timing on our cars will be a real good feat if anyone find a controller that will do so. Jacobs controller that summit sells will not so look elsewhere.

As always, thanks Terry! Do you think the MS w/ spark control would be a good idea with all NA bolt ons and a 75shot? I've borrowed a friends logger and I'm getting hardly any knock even spraying with 87octane. It has been rather cold lately, however. I just know its running pig rich and limiting the effect of added O2 in the nitrous.
