79377, What are your A/F readings at WOT?

I will be dynoing my car sometime next week. My fuel setup is all messed up. I can smell the richness from my exhaust at idle?! To the guys using datalogger or digital A/F ratio meter, what are your volt readings at cruising and at WOT? I want to compare readings as I am dynoing the car. Thanks

1.01 I believe with the narrowband. I am hooking up a wideband soon so we will see what the true values are.

11.6 at wot @ 21lbs of boost

I run a .96 to a .98 from my last datalogged run. I am running 10 psi of boost on 390cc injectors (will be going to the portfueler very soon). It has been this way for about a year now and I have had no problems. Exhaust temps are also very good.

Here's more information from a previous post of mine:

The number James is giving is the one you want to look at. Don't use narrowband numbers, but rather use the wideband numbers. 11.6 is a pretty safe number to go with on pump gas. You can go higher but 11.6 is safe.

Hey I am on a stock block. That's narrow band though so I can't say what the true a/f values are, but at least my egts are fine.

Right now, I am relying on my digital air fuel gauge. At WOT, it is reading .800+. I am a little too rich. But hopefully I can hook it up to a wideband to give me more accurate numbers. Thanks for the replies.

Can my gauge be reading it wrong. Because I know my car is rich for sure by the smell of it.

Do you see a POOF of black smoke from your exhuast when you punch it and go WOT?

Nope. No smoke. I spit fire like crazy out of my exhaust though. And that's when I have the car in nuetral and just rev it up.

Your dumping alot of fuel at idle, but at WOT its leaning out. Its your FP, and injector set up. Somthing is wrong, or boosting to much. GO WITH MS! :thumbsup
