79291, RFL BOV Question Posted by Hult250R, Nov-14-04 04:21 PM
I just got an RFL used, My question is for you guys that have them. I didnt get any of the spacers with it. How thick are the spacers and what does TurboXS reccommend in the instructions as far as how much boost to run with a certain number of spacers? Im a machinist so its easy for me to make my own spacers Im just wondering the dimensions of them.

doesnt really matter IMO, I think they are there for tension. It doesnt give you a certain number either just add or take to your liking. IMO any spacer will do if you add or take enough.

Yeah what he said. WHen I had it, to me they looked like flat head washers with a whole in the center.
Just a quick trip to home depot to compare the perfect sized washer should solve your delemma. Just find some that fits inside the cylinder/spring area.

OD 1-3/16" ID 9/16" Width 3/16"
The instructions say to visually check that the exhaust ports are fully closed at idle. If they're not, then you add a washer under the spring. Also, if the vehicle does not run smoothly or if a reduction in maximum boost pressure occurs then add additional washers.
