just wanted to know if there are any last min things i need to know about installing this pump. I've installed fuel pumps in my car before, but they've been stock, so i'm guessing this shouldnt be any diff, considering extreme psi, says its a bolt on replacemnt. just waiting for my car to run out of gas! thanks!

i wanna say that the holes in the bracket don't line up but it has been a long while since i did it. Wasn't much more too it but drilling another hole in the bracket for the pump.

well, it says as long as you use the new fuel pump isolator and not the old one, it should fit the bracket....:shrug

well mine was off. with either one. Its just a simple drilling procedure.

When I did mine, the pump didn't install as an exact replacement since I think it's a touch larger. So I modified the bottom bracket that was holding it by drilling a hole about 3/4 inch lower and moving the bottom piece down. However, when I went to reinstall it, it wouldn't fit back into the tank because it was taller now, and the original pump sat on the bottom part of the tank.

Sooooo, I had to pull it out again, and I cut the peice of pipe on the bracket where the high pressure goes out (don't cut the pipe on the FP, there's a valve in there that you need). I cut it so I could install the bottom bracket back into the ORIGINAL hole, since I knew that would work (since it did on the stock. and put a piece of fuel hose and some GOOD clamps on and stuck it in and it worked.

I'm not sure if mine was a special case or not, but I have the 255lph HP one, so you might consider doing that.

When I put in my 255lph HP, I ended up bending the lower bracket to accomodate the longer pump. I opened up the 90 degree bend some and then bent the tip of the lower bracket to still hold the pump securely. Worked fine.

I chopped about 1/2" off the brass part of the car's pump bracket outlet pipe. You may have to trim the rubber hose a little too.

When/If you want to go back to stock, just cut a longer piece of rubber hose, drop in the stock pump, and it'll work fine.

thanks guys, the install did not go at all as planned, everyone is right the damn pump is a tad bit off. since i didnt see all these posts, i just put the stocker back on, since i'm not much of a fabricator. but i'll give it another shot on my day off again.

wow, so great to have boost again, and this pump sounds so much better than that stupid inline. yall were right, a simple drill of another hole is all it took to fit it in right!

not sure what you are talking about man. '3 expose metal' ??? If you can get a photo off of vfaq.com of the pump and tell us what ya mean.

it was for a positive and negative connection if the harness didn't work. The third whole I believe worked as bleeder. All I did was took some candle wax and cover up the exposed metal except for the third one. It's install and seems to be working fine.

wierd... I did have to bend the damn bracket to get it to fit also.

I have a sick write up on this if anyone wants it, hit me up.
