Last night I had a race set to go up against a 96 Eclipse GST with a 20G turbocharger. Now I heard that this guy had just moved up here to Wisconsin from down south and was riping shit up and had beaten most of these imports accept for our 88 Supra Turbo who had taken him out earlier this month. So I got everything prepared and went of to war. There was a hole lot of talk about who was going to take the title for the fastest DSM in town the RS-T or the GST. Well, I hardly go out to race because there's too many pigs but last night was the night and I only had one thing in mind, destroy my competition. This guy was running 10psi on his 20G and I was only running 5psi on my T/3T/4 E trim but wasn't even sweating it because I found out that the reason I wasn't getting full boost at around 4 to 5,ooorpm when I went to the tracks is that some of my vaccumm holes were loose. After I got that solved the day before the race I was hitting full boost at around 4000rpm and the car was a hell of a lot stronger now. So we went out to race and guess what, we smoked him by 3 car lengths towards the end of the race and then he became a crew member HAHA!

Why was he only running 10psi on a 20G that's stupied...should have kept the stock turbo if he's just gonna run that boost. Just my .02. Did he just not have supporting fuel mods to crank it or what? A GST with 20G can pull high/mid 12's (traction dependent) at a reasonable boost and make low 300's to the wheels with some acctual boost (18-19psi), 10psi on the 4g is a joke, even more a jk with a 20G, it's such a waste. Also tunning plays a HUGE part in the 4g's if the guy has a 20G and doesn't know how to tune it it'll run like piss. I've seen it a billion times. I picked up 34hp on the dyno just from tunning. And you said you are stage 1 HRC? I'm not trying to discard your kill...good kill, but just curoius about the other guys car.

usually those 4g guys run some insane a$$ boost when they upgrade. did he not have a boost controller? maybe he bought the car stock, turbo died replaced it with 20g and hasn't started any other mods? just my .02 cents. hey deez let's put our change together and go half on a piece of gum!

would 10psi even spin the turbo to hit full boost?? a friend of mine is running 18psi on his 16g in a 1g talon TSI...makes no sense what that foo was thinking....

good kill! If i had that gst with a 20G i would be fuming after that race. Those turbos are superior turbos. 10psi on a 20G? I have felt that before, its like a 14 second car. He was lacking in fuel dept. to reconfirm dude before. an extra 5 lbs and some mild tuning and he hits a 12 with some decent traction. peace.

It is pretty low for a 20G. I know why though. :) He does not have a boost controller. When you swap a T25 to a 16G or 20G, it is normal for them to only make 10psi without a boost controller. Most people tend to remedy this problem quickly though.

First of all...there is no point at all that this person has!! I have a 98 eclipse running stage II turbo with front mount intercooler from HRC. A GS-T running a 20G with a 10psi boost is completely normal depending on what is in his engine!!! Now, he could go up to 15psi and be safe BUT its pushing it I think and if this person does NOT have biffed up pistons and rods (like he should with that big of a turbo) then going higher would risk him blowing his shit sky high!!! I am pushing 10-15psi boost with a profec b boost controller, 9-10 when its not in use!! You guys all wonder why he doesnt put out a higher boost, the answer is- he doesnt want to blow his engine in the process of 1 single race!!!
