this is what i got on search:
( You'll need a small hole saw (can't remember the size - 1"?) for the oil pan hole, and any bit that's spec'd for drilling metal should be fine for the manifold. Try and make it as straight as possible.)

a regular drill with a bit wouldnt work??

get a cobalt drill bit for the manifold and the oil pan. they will be different sizes. they are expensive but very nice.

so for the pan, basically all i need to buy is a "cobalt bit"? works with any drill i'm guessing? oh, what size the hole have to be? thanks for the fast response.

don't buy a cobalt drill bit for the oil pan, its not necessary and will just cost you more, but on the other hand do buy one for the manifold if your putting your EGT in it. It will make a world of difference.

for the EGT you dont need a 3/4 hole....that is way too big, i forget what size i used but i can find out if you need me to. for the oil pan i used a 5/8 hole saw and i think it cost 5.00 roughly, a reg drill bit will work, our oil pans a mild steel, not hardened or anything. not expensive and makes a nice hole.

EGT tap depends on what thermocouple he is using. Autometer's require an 1/8" NPT hole. Others may vary.

obviously you won't use a 3/4" hole for the manifold. Thats for the oil pan genious. Read the directions.

Listen cock-knobbler, he said 3/4 for the oil pan and manifold. sounded like he was going to drill an EGT with 3/4 hole.

if you need directions for a turbo install then you need to find a new hobby.

thanks newb. Not everyone knows what exactly is needed to instal a turbo if its their first time. I know you must be god of automotive and all so i should apologize. I also better take down the HRC instructions that i've had up for the past 3+ years so these pethatic souls trying to instal a turbo don't even attempt it. Thats the way for people to learn and pass on knowledge.

i think there was a confusion with what i was asking first of all. let me clarify.

what i posted is what i pulled up on "search", All i was asking was for the size of the oil pan hole and what drill bit! i never asked how and what size hole to drill on the manifold, cuz i dont even have an egt gauage yet.

my question was precisely regarding the OIL PAN itself and nothing else. i have had my turbo on for more than a year now. but i am going to change the oil pan, since mine is leaking pretty bad right now. i lost my directions on the size hole need to drill the hole on the oil pan, so i kindly asked on the forum! thanks to all for your help.

*edit* you can see what i pulled up on search is put in parenthesis. because it's what someone else asked not me!
