ok, i recently had my compression test done with my #3 cyl coming in at only 50.....i had a lot of oil blow-by out of my crank case breather....so today i rigged up a hose from the breather into my oil return line using a "T" connector thinking it it solve the blow-by problem till i had a compression leak test to pin-point my problem. well i hooked up my oil return-return line ;) and took it for a drive.......well i punched it to test it out and my motor started smoking BAD! and out of my exhuast!....i popped the hood and oil was still being shot out of somewhere (head gasket?). so this whole time i thought the oil was coming out of my crank breather but it wasn't.....so what causes the oil to spew all over my battery area in my engine and OIL ON MY EXHAUST? it's white smoke also.......i think it's my head gasket, would that cause a low compression test?

sounds like cracke piston/broken piston seal

You have cracked pistons. And the oil in the engine bay is coming from that breather in your valve cover. Not bad only one piston. I cracked three. What were you boosting?

no i think it's my head gasket........i ran a tube from my crank case filter to the ground and i was still getting oil in my engine bay........and now i'm getting water and oil in my exhaust.......i hope it's only a bad head gasket......

With compression like that, i'm willing to bet it's not just a head gasket. Sucks, dude, but i think you've cracked a piston or two.

I had the exact same thing, I mean exact same thing, even in cyl number 3 and teh compression was 33 I think, Did you try putting oil doen teh cyl to see what happened? I did and it rose back to 150is, from what I hear that is a blown seal on teh piston, I'm upgrading with a whole new bottem end so.........

well i put the car in the shop today.....hopefully i'll now something soon.......i got Je pistons (rings and all) and crower rods for 1200 out the door.....wait and see about the valves.......with this setup and my star stage II fuel setup (factory injectors) what kinda boost can i run?
