Whats the part # for the programmable MSD DIS-2 ignition and tach adapter that work on our cars? also...to anyone that has one currently, how much timing are you pulling out above 13psi? thanks.

Going standalone. It's a great unit, I just don't have a use for it anymore.

With MS, you dont need MSD?

Right. The MS can control ignition timing if you configure it to do so.

I dunno if it is just me, but in the past 1.5 years, I have received 2 units (6212), I bought one and the other I got under warranty. Both have died or have had problems. The first one would just shut off intermittantly, the second one misfires under load. So, even if I do get a new one under warranty again, I will probably not put it in. the longevity is just not there.

Does the same problem happen with the DIS-4? I just bought one and had it installed while my car has been down at the dyno shop... I hope it is not like the previous response?
