I have no clue why my Greddy Type S sounds like an HKS Super Seq. BOV Valve. It flutters just like it or you know what I'm taking about. And I don't think I'm having compressor surge either.

It used to have that kiiiiisshhh sound before when I didn't have a intercooler but now that I have one, it sound like the HKS! It sounds really cool but I know it's wrong, people are confused because they think I have the HKS but when I pop the hood and they see the Type S, they get confused. I have a friend that has a Type S so I know how it sounds like. Would anyone shed some light on this? I would greatly appreciate it. Questions are always welcome! Thanks in Advance.

Are you running low boost? Mine does that when I'm running 5 psi. It goes away at 8 or 9psi. If your running low boost, you can hook up the lower port to the cold side of you turbo but you will need to put some O-rings inside first. I hear this is only good up to 12psi. If you can't figure out what I'm talking about, do a search for "BOV flutter" and see a post that I made. Jamesman posted a diagram showing where to put them. Hope this helps. No need to worry.

Also, is your screw as loose as you can get it?

Mine does the same thing. WickedESi heard my bov and was all WTF its not supposed to sound like that. I kinda like it tho but ehh I'm still gonna play around with it to try and fix it.

Its not suppose to do the Turkey gobble. That is hurting your Turbo.

Adjust it loose enough so that It doesnt do that, Yet stiff enough so that It does not leak on you at full boost.

In full boost Mine is a quick Screaching sound. In partial boost It starts loud then fades to a soft whisper, but still doesnt flutter.

Not necessarily. If you loosen it enough to stop the flutter that should be goo as long as it doesn't leak.

I've got it to the softest setting and it still flutters.

mine does the same thing and im at 8PSI. when im cruising around town at about 40%-60% throttle, it flutters. but it does not do that at WOT. i also have mine set to the softest.

I took out the inner spring of my GReddy BOV...bad thing is that it leaks at idle but it'll blow off just reving it. You also might wanna try puttin your air filter directly on the compressor instead of the pipe, it'll change the way your BOV sound. Try it.

Does it still leak with the hardest setting with just the outer spring?

kinda off topic but dosent tightening the screw on each bov make it sound more high pitched when running higher boost? so wouldnt that eliminate the gobbleish sound from the hks and types and make it have more of the highpitched shriek sound?

got it...took off the inner spring and got a new vacuum hose... sounds sweet...now how do I set it to where I know I don't have boost leak???

Take off your filter and shove a soda can in there to plug up your system and hook up an air compressor to your system somewhere and put air in it. You'l want to watch your gauge. I wouldn't go over the psi that you boost though. If it doesn't leak, your all good.

I have the supersonic and did the same thing. what was wrong with it was the vacuum hose was twistedand and cousing the fluter so check your hose
