I did a search and I saw no one break this down...

1. How long have you run your kit?

2. What size shot do you run?

3. What problems have you had...if any?

Thanks guys, I am looking to add nitrous and I wanted to get a general idea of what to expect.

Thanks guys!

at the risk of sounding like an asshole, i dunno what search you used..but iv done plenty of searching on these very same things and every one has been answered at least 5-15 times. possibly try the advanced search feature, or change your query...cuz i know its there

EDIT: ok, im feeling helpfull

people have run anywhere from3 days to 3 years..its not a constant thing like a turbo, so running it and having it is a different issue.

highest shot on stock engine is 75, but some have done 100 and had no problems, others have blown their engines up with that...all depends

as far as problems, its pretty universal. of course your gonna get added wear and tear just like a turbo, if you dont tune right youll blow or melt things, etc.

again, all can be answered more throuhghly with a GOOD search, i just gave you cliff notes

I've been running a 75shot for about 2 months. No problems other than paying $32.50 for the bottle and $1.95 a gallon for premium.

Ive been running a 75 shot for a year now, the only problem i ever had was a backfire that blew off all my vac lines. It scared the shit out of me but the car still runs like new.

$1.95 for premium ?!?! I should have you buy it and mail it to me, it'd still be cheaper that way then buying it outta the pump. Consider yourselves lucky to have it so good.

I've been spraying for a while now. The only problem I had it back fire/explode on me once. All of my intake pipe blew off. Other than that, it's running great! Like ^^^ 96eclipse2nr said, don't spray too much unless you're ready for a new motor!

slightly interested in a 50 shot too. You guys keep talking about a backfire, is that happening in between shifts or just randomly? Are you guys auto or manual? And last, I know someone around here is or was using a computer control for their nitrous system, what are they/you using (Jacobs Mastermind, the NOS comp, etc.) and how much nicer is it (is it worth it)?

I ran a 100 shot for a little over a year, put about 4 bottles through. never really had a problem with it. I was using a wide open throttle switch in conjunction with a rpm window switch. I had a best 1/4 of 14.5, but I forget the speed somewhere around 100-101mph. When i put the turbo on and removed the nitrous, my motor only lasted about an hour and half worth of boost. I contribute it entirely to the nitrous wearing the motor. I was running way rich and low boost for it to just go imo. During my rebuild I took the head to the machine shop and he said 7 of the valve seals were bad. Whether it was from the nitrous or not I don't know, you be the judge.
