I have never seen anything exactly like that, running off of boost. I've seen something very similar though. I've seen one that is controled by a switch inside the car, when its closed the gasses go through the full exhaust and when its open its basically the same as what you found except its wide open all of the time until the driver closes it.

Yeah I think Im gonna pick it up. Run 3" from the the downpipe to that then 2 5/8 from the cat back.

so can you run a 3" DP to that and go the rest stock? or what if you do have full 3" turboback, would that quiet it down any?

If Im understanding it correctly, it wont do anything if your already running a 3" back. Yeah, you run 3" to that then from there back you run stock or whatever.

Nice find! This looks like it would allow quite the dual exhaust setup. Stock exhaust on the left 3inch on the right (granted there is enough room). My only question is if this will cause any problems with the downstream o2 sensor? I heard something too about running an open downpipe can be bad for engine but like I said it's something I heard.

that is bad ass. I currently have a 3" system and pretty much hate it. I have to put factory style muffler on just to not get ticked. I have an xtra actuator, I think I'll try to make something up.

That is awesome for you guys who are turbo! Get yourself into a nice little race.. "No.. I'm not boosted, I'm stock" He hears the turbo spooling 3 seconds into it and the exhaust open up.. "WTF!" That is awesome }(

This thing is really cool... wish it cost about a hundred less though.

Im actualy geting something similar just that electricaly controled....so i decide when my turbo has max spool potential...and when to keep it quiet
I currently run a full 3 inch and man is it noisy

this gives me ideas for an electrically actuated, RPM triggered valve. It'd be the normal electric valve that would open about 3800-4300 rpm and really allow the engine to rev. Oh, by the way I'm N/T, but you might want an RPM activated if the boost one is too expensive.
