I want to order manifold bolts for my turbo setup tomorrow, but Im having a prob. Some of you know my ride got assholed the other day and I dont have it right now so I cant figure out what size thread and stuff my bolts are, or even how many there are for that matter. I should know that as much as Ive taken this thing apart, but I dont, never paid attention.

So thats what I need. Sizes, and how many. Or you can just give me a part number with the amount I need. Also, I think read that some of you are using copper washers, is this true and can I get them on the site? Bolts or studs?

Last, should I get a copper manifold gasket or what are you guys using?

8mm manifold to head studs. you should also buy blue lock-tite. put lock-tite on the side that goes in the head.

Not to knock down on RRE but you can get those studs from your local hardware store for about 1.35 each. I don't know what RRE sells them for. I also agree with ^^, use the BLUE locktight.

As far as copper washers *shrug*. I used SS split lock washers and grade 8.8 nuts and have not lost any.

You can get a multi layer steel exhaust manifold from the dealer (dodge) for about $23. That has worked better than any other gasket I have tried. (I have not had a copper one yet).

I found the gasket ##1-04621833 its a MOPAR part.

Multilayered gasket is best to go. I also use gasket sealant (the glue"ish" type). what's grade 8.8 nuts?

Grade 8.8 refers to the hardness of the metal. 8.8 is good quality and should be the minimum you should use on your car.

Actually the stud you need is 8mm X 1.25 thread pitch. if you go looking for 8mm you will be stumped on which to get when you find them. Hardware store is a good place to find em.

I would, at the vary least, use dealership studs and nuts. They are 10.9, and less prone to breakage. Hell, the 4G63 guys upgrade to ARP mani studs befause their 10.9 studs break!

One more question. How long should the studs/bolts need to be? Sorry, I always get the studs and bolts mixed up. I still havent taken the 2 seconds to figure out the difference.

If you can't find 8mm X 1.25 studs get some Stainless steel bolts and cut them with a metal cutoff wheel. I did it and it works great. Just put a nut on the bolt before you cut it so you can straighten the thread out after its cut.
