77075, Clocking a turbo.. Posted by er0ckz, Sep-27-04 10:47 PM
Sup guys. I've search for info on this but I've only found info on the mitsubishi turbos. I have a GT30R that I want to clock and the difference with that is that it don't have a snap ring like my S16G. Anyone with any experience with garret turbos have any idea how to? Do I have to take off all 6 bolts that pins down a bronze ring between the turbine compressor and the turbo? I don't want to mess anything up, so if anyone have any idea, it would help me alot. Thanks guys.

i've only clocked my t3 (that i don't even have in yet) and all you have to do is undo the 6 bolts and turn it. about as easy as it gets. again, that's just a t3, so don't take this too seriously.

you dont have to remove the bolts. Just loosten them enough so the brass ring has some play, and rotate accordingly. Retighten in desired position and there you go.
