I've got everything done for my turbo install except the fuel pump. As I was looking at the parts, there's parts to make a relay. I read the install from Accel & there's no mention of a relay. Hahn's instructions don't mention anything either. Essentially all you need to do is ground the pump & have a switched power connection right? So why the relay?

I did a search & didn't find anything on this, except people thinking that there relay might be going bad.

Any info would be great. Thanks.

The relay is used to aid in supplying power to the extra fuel pump along with ensure the fuel pump runs when the stock one does.

Where did you tap into for the switched power & the 12V constant power for the relay?

Ijnteresting how there are two posts about the same subjet.

The constant power goes to the battery. The relay hooks to the existing fuel pump power wire, your constant, ground, and your new pump. The relay is only used for switching on and giving power to your new pump when the old pump sees power.
