ok im new to the turbo thing. my 2 options that im looking at here are a 16g and a t3/t4.

my car is going to be a street car, with occasional track use. i want a turbo that provides good power through the rpm range, and spools up pretty quickly. i know theres different trim levels of both turbos, can smeone explain these to me. my main concern is spool up time, it needs to produce power quickly. im only looking to run 8 psi max, and make anywhere from 180-200hp. thanks in advance

get a t3/t4..i suggest the 50trim...its what i had...the 16g is gonna spool faster but won't make nearly the HP that the t3/t4 will...most people run right around 14.9-15.2 with a 16g on 8-9psi...i ran a 14.50 on 6.5psi, boost leak and 93 degree summer heat with the 50trim...

ok i was leaning more towards the 16g just because of spool up time, but now im undecided again. with your t3/t4, how was it for city driving? was it hard to stay in the power band just for everyday cruising? about what rpm did it spool up at?. track performance isnt as important to me as city driving and the butt dyno is. but thanks for the input it was helpful.

Are you planning on a custom setup?

was excellent for sity driving...very very easy to get right into the powerband...in 2nd and 3rd gear i could get 8psi by 3300rpms easy...very very nice on the butt dyno..much more powerful than a 16g feels...
