75203, Want a consistent mid 13's nitro set-up

I have a stage II turbo set-up on stock internals. I'd like to get the motor rebuilt before I graduate college. I'm hardly ever boosting and really want to hang on to the car after I paint it. So, since I still have Mo-Kan raceway nearby, I'd like to sell the turbo and get a DP N20 kit that would get me consistent 13's maybe with slicks, but def a daily driver. About what shot can the typical eagle rods/forged piston set-up handle? For those who have a N20 grind cam, how's daily driving? I think 10:1 compression will be inthe ballpark of what I'd like to run. Oh yeah,I DID search.

100 shot, nothing less imo. there is a guy on tooners that runs 13's with a 100 shot on built internals.

what?? why not build the motor and keep the turbo, your gonna rebuild anyways, why just throw all the money spent on the turbo out the window. unless your a little richy...

Actually I'm not richy since I have paid the car off while being in college. I live in a small town where the speed limit is 35 except for one road which is 40 mph. I used to live in a suburb of Kansas City and used the boost much more often. I'm faced with graduation soon, family starting crap, and working for a corporation. Instead of selling the car, which I really like, I'm going to spend a little money on realistic stuff. The turbo has never really given me problems, but I'm not going to rip gears from stoplight to stoplight just to boost. N20 I think is a better solution for my situation. BTW I have used the gas but it was on a BB Chevy in a Chevy II and it was a blast.

get a bigger turbo and get the gas....that way you can spool harder when needed. just my .02

Nitro is not cheap in the long run.....tis a better investment to turbo

yeah, if your not going fast your probably not even spooling the turbo anyways so its basically just sitting there waiting for you to get on it, just like the nitrous would. whats the diff?? just keep the turbo, so its not being used, neither will the nitrous until you need it anyways. lets see, spend 3 grand on a turbo--> never use it---> think Ill get rid of the turbo and switch to nitrous--> 3 grand down the drain, 5-700 more spent on nitrous--> find out you wont use the nitrous at all either.. im so confused

I figured that I'd sell the kit to help for the cost of the rebuild. Screw it anyway. I'm just gonna keep the snail. FMIC fill bumpers up better anyway:thumbsup
