i have the innovate wideband unit. it has the ability to read two user defined inputs with a voltage of 0-5v. is it possible, and if so, how and what parts would be needed to build a small box with a map sensor for the wideband unit to read a boost signal from?

does a map sensors range fit within the 0-5v parameters?

EDIT: just talked with innovate, they have a unit coming out at the end of the month for $250.00, thats to much for me.

What i now need is help with finding and wiring a boost sensor(MAP?) that has a 0-5v referance range. ideas? help?

a case of beer (cash equivilent) to whoever helps me with this the best!

You can use the same Motorola MAP sensor used in the Megasquirt or for the 034... I'll hook you up with a part number later...

a simple GM map sensor hooked to power and your vacuum. run the output of the map sensor to your unit and you will pick up the values. however, you might nneed to create a calbration table so the unit displays the correct reading.

The GM MAP sensors are pretty expensive...

Hit me up if you need any more info... $250 to read boost... yeah right! For that money you could buy a Megasuirt... run your fuel system from that, AND feed the MAP signal to your wideband...lol

actualy, its 250.00 for a muti read box: boost, dwell,(not needed), EGT, and one other i think, but its still do damn much for what i need! i will hit you up for more info... thanx.

thanks corbin. is that a 0-5v range unit where 0v = 0psi and 5v = max pressure?

You'll have to download the spec sheet from the site to determine what each voltage means. It is in absolute pressure, so that 0 psi boost will be like 1.XX volts. 22 psi of boost will be like 4.XX volts. Vacuum would be in the 0.XX volt range.
