Hey just had a question regarding how much boost were you able to build breakstalling at the line with your 20g...

Did you have a stock stall converter? (presonaly im going with a 3k converter...)

Im just wondering if my 2.4 will be able to build boost with the 3k stall on a turbo Bigger than the 20g (i know a 20g would be np for a 2.4...even on stock stall)

Oh yah i finally decided im going with a RMVB and sequential shifter....think im going to need to change to a Manual PCM to get rid of the 6500 rev limiter.. since i would be able to shift way higher...

I don't know antone with a atx 2gnt that can build boost on the line. I know I can't.

what turbo you got and whats ur stall (oh yes forgot we got a crapy 1500 stall...only can spool tiny turbos)???

REason im asking for dougie i know he had a 3k stall for a while and a 20g....im going to have a 3k minimum and 2.4 (and not a A604 trans btw..allmost convinced il need a 4k stall for what im looking for)...so if he could get some boost i know for sure i should with something a tad bigger (ok or else we have to resort to the N20...which i did not wana use)

1psi on the t3/4 and stock converter. My brakes suckd so I could not hold it for long till she started walking. Maybe 2 seconds?

I had a T3 turbo when I was auto. 2-3 psi max. That's just the way it is.

you guys are crazy! i have a t3/t4 and a stock converter on a 98 rs-t and i can build 5psi every time. who needs a 5 speed. its better than dumping the clutch. and i do have a tranny cooler and my trans is in great shape never once slipped.

maybe 1 psi.

Bullshit. I had a fully build trans with plenty of mods, t3 turbo, and a slightly higher than 3500 stall. Anyone who is tell you that it's possible to build boost in a 2GNT off the like is fucking lying to your face. Prove me wrong. I've been doing this shit long enough to know what the fuck I'm talking about.

Also, fuck the A604... do the 5-speed swap... seriously, stop fucking around.

calm down killer! i'm not lying. and as soon as i find out how to post a video i will prove it. only you will have to take my word for it that the tranny is stock all except the 2 free mods, lock up switch and traction control. i'll show you my engine, my shifter and then my boost guage then a nice 5psi launch all in the same video. and anything else you would like to see. if someone could help me with the video post directions that would be great.

ok i just went out and took the video. it was more like 6-7psi before i took my foot off the brake. supprised me even. i will post it today as soon as i figure out how. it came out really good. shows everything great

Doug ...im not running a 604 anymore......im runing a 670 (neon 3 speed trans from a sohc...built to the teeth :) )....i know for a fact a T-52 turbo .48 ex. w/.60 A/R.. will gain 5 psi with a 3k stall on a 2.0 neon...(thats a sohc neon..oh yah he got a 5k stall now..5psi wasen't enough for him and since he dosent juice his car....think hes the first sohc neon in the 10's) ......

LOL. I just found this message and didn't realized I typed it (lots of Valium and Bacardi that night). I didn't mean you can't build boost at all at the line. I think I'm just tired of guys saying "I'm going to build a bullet-proof ATX and boost 20 psi off the line". That's what I was referring too. I'd love to see the video man.

Holy shit man! Thats nice. I just tried again in my driveway and got 3psi before My shit started rolling. I need to tighten up the handbrake and I bet I could do more. Has anyone done this at the track and compared it to just taking off?

Like I said for me, I could only get 1psi before I started walking.

I was actualy faster just stepping on it, but thats because I have shitty tires and no traction, yes even with the AT.

same here chamuko. my brakes are straight up junk though. i start creepin at 1 psi.
