My setup: HRC stage 2 super 16g, built bottom end, 42lb, sfmu, intank fuel pump, inline fuel pump, turboxs hp boost controller, fmic, downpipe, etc. Furst question is when my car is idling and on the turbo wheel spins freely at start up, but after a minute or so it slows down and stops spinning. It continues but not spinning like it used to. Is my turbo going bad or what? It never did it before, i bought the turbo used from a member. It drives fine and doesnt cause any problems when cruising. Just dont know whats wrong with it. I checked for shaft play and there isnt much at all, and the turbine wheel does not scrape the sides of the compressor housing at all. Second, i have a turbo xs hp boost controller and it was set at 14psi before in replaced iac, tps, throttle body gasket, and redid vacuum lines. Now i test drove it and it spiked past 20psi at high rpms. I think i may have a leak but i cant get to it until tomorrow. I couldnt tell if it would drop b/c i let off as soon as it past 20psi which was very quick. Could the leak cause that or bad wastegate. I searched so i got a few ideas, but someone may help if they want to. Thanks in advance.
