Hey guys, just wondering what anyone with a wideband did in terms of tuning with a wideband. Obviously, I know many of us shoot for 11.5 or so at full boost, but at what rpm at we shooting for that number?

Clearly, at 3000 rpm's we're probably not going to be at 11.5. But at what rpm @ boost are we seeking to be at a happy a/f mixture?

What's an accepted "lower" a/f ration for lower rpm's?

I would be scared to go above 12 after about 2~3 psi. I just tune to my EGT gauge, but I think I'm gonna pull the wideband out of the Z for the week to give that a shot.

Whatever RPM you make full boost. Why would it matter what that RPM is? You tune for the air, not for the RPM...

i try and keep around 11.2 throughout the entire pull in any gear..

Jason, since your setup is pretty much like mine, you will find that you need to run between 10.8-11.0 at peak torque at 15 psi(3900-4500 rpm), and once you pass peak torque, you can lean it out to around 11.5 as rpm increases. As torque falls off, and rpm increases, you can get away with less fuel, since lesser chance of detonation going up in rpm, and away from peak torque. It will also make for a smoother power curve, but that wont be noticable unless you are on the dyno. You can do a basic tune to a flat A/F ratio, but that wont be a "good" power tune. Thats best left for the dyno anyway i suppose :)

To clarify my question for the smartasses out there :P , there's always a point wherein your boost is rising, and you haven't yet reached the higher rpm range. (Ex. 5 psi at 3000 rpms) That's what I'm trying to get a feel for.

Anytime you're in boost you really want to be under 12:1 AFR... weather you're in full boost or not. While cruising, I like to be in the 13.5-14:1 AFR range.
