i just want to make sure i have this installed right...

The line going from the fpr to the return side of tank i took off and now goes from fpr to the side of the fmu. The bottom of the fmu is now going to the return side of tank. I then tapped a vac line in engine bay(same line my boost gauge is running on, and it checks out) is run back to the small barb on top of the fmu. Does this sound correct? cause my fuel system is F'ed up.

ive looked at that numerous times, but it dont help 100% cause i dont have a sfmu.

sounds right, off the top ov my head i cant remember which is the infeed on the fmu but i think it is the side one. What is your problem right now?

too much fuel, Car bucks and spudders around 1800 rpm. It fouls up the plugs like every 3 days. THe car will run beautiful for those 3 days on new plugs but then its crap again. Ive tried range colder and hotter and stock, none help. Im assuming its in the fuel system, as to why i suspect the fmu, but i dont know for sure.

Have you tried the fuel pressure? What does it produce at idle? I wonder if your reg took a crap or is clogged. Have you unhooked the line from the FMU to see if fuel is flowing through it? maybe a clogged line you could try blowing them out.

There is a way to check and see if you have a leaky injector....

You need:
fuel pressure gauge to install on the rail.
jumper wire with two male blade conn crimped on.
long needle nose(storks)

Here is what you do. hook up the fuel pressure gauge, place it in a spot you ca see it while leaning over the drivers side of the car. Disconnect the fuel relay...its on the firewall next to the clutch master and on the left while looking at the engine from the front of the car. take the jumper wire and jump out the fuel relay, the pins in the front and rear of the conn as it sits in the relay ar the pins you jumper. the pis will be directly across from one another and will not be facing the same direction. when you jumper that conn you will hear the fuel pump run and see the gauge move.

Gauge should read 48-50 psi. if more there is your problem.

Next use the long needle nose to pinch the fuel feed line going to the fuel rail. now with your other hand pull the jumper out of the relay socket. while pinched the fuel pressure gauge should not move, if it does move and you are pinching the rubber line good then your injectors are leaking. Let go of the pliers if the fuel pressure stays constant for 2-3 minutes, then you injectors are fine.

If you pressure is not 48-50 psi and its more that means your problem is in the regulator or the FMU/lines.

This is one of the best ways to troubleshoot a fuel system for our cars. There is onyl one more check i havent mentioned but it is not needed here.

Maybe i should make a write-up with pictures in the free time i dont have..lol
