Why in the hell would you want a turbo setup that was designed for our cars when you could put in an entire engine that wasn't!?

I'm not doing a 4g63 swap cause I dunno what that is. I was thinking TSI engine from the same year. (hoping thats not the same thing)If u have any suggestion on engine or turbos let me know. But if anyone has done either perhaps they can let me know how long it took to install and where they got the parts. :wtf

In all seriousness, do0d, throw swap in the search engine and take a look at what happens when no0bs decide to walk down this path. Not very pretty. We are not your typical Honda (any engine will do) tuners. You have the luck of buying a car with a really good engine from the factory. You can throw a turbo on and drive it for years without any trouble. Only problem is you always want more, so you end up turning up the boost and breaking shit. If you want to do a swap, I'd suggest you find another 420a (your NT DSM engine) and build it to the hilt. Pistons, rods, cams, etc.. Then it's not a question of can you boost it, but of just how much boost do you want to throw at it.

You've found the right site to learn all you'll ever need to know about your car. You just need to maybe put your plans on the back burner and spend a month (at least a couple weeks) reading up here about what sort of different options you have now. Show us you can use the search once in a while and that you want to do it right, and you'll get all the help youu need. This place is like one big family and we take care of our own. You just have to pay your dues for a little while imo.

You really need to know what you're talking about. If you didn't know the TSI and GST/GSX have the same engine then you are not ready in any way to go turbo with a kit. Spend a year learning and reading this entire site (When I say 1 year I am serious... I read up for like a year and I still dont know half the stuff some guys here do).

Either that or just go and sell your car and buy a stock GST.

install 4g63 cranckwalker,, or turbo your 420a it's all what you want. i personaly like to say "yeah, i turbocharged it myself" so whatever you want it cost lots both ways

Dude you are killing me. How are you gonna tell the people that have replied to this thread that they need to chill? I mean hell 99% of what you listed as swap info isn't true. First off when will dummies quit assuming 4g's are all prone to walk? You do realize only a small portion have done this, right?
Second, You do know a normal mechanic couldn't put a 4G into a 2GNT right? He would have to be more than merely a mechanic. A great deal of even making that swap happen would be FABRICATION. I know it's a long word but sound it out man. That's right the motor was never meant to mount into a 2GNT at all. The damn thing is turned the opposite way.
Well I'm done listing my limited knowledge on this subject. And Geez let's hope noone asks for more info about this pipedream.

Just try welding your hand to your face for about 5 minutes as a dry run to get an idea of how fun installing a 4g63 into ANY car is.

Also cool: pouring concentrated shop degreaser onto any part of your body in a constant stream. You go numb! and then your skin turns white! and you lose your tan! and like five layers of skin! and it hurts for a month!

I swap my engine with a Mercedez turbo diesel engine. The only modification was the ecu harness. It saves gas as hell!
