ok everybody i'm here as a new member, but not a new reader.i've been reading these forums for almost a year.and am very aware of the search bar, and use it often i might add! neway here are my plans and questions, i have a 98 eclipse rs that i'm planning on getting BLOWN!!! yippie, in about 1 month,it'll take that long to get all the parts, i'm getting the hahn racecraft stage 1 to start it will be intercooled though, through custom intercooler.what other stuff should i get besides what comes in the kit.gauges, exhaust, piggyback ecu upgrades, ect. also all be doing this right the 2nd time around if that makes any sense, cause after the low boost is installed and i'm furmiluar with fuel \air tuning and such i'm gonna buy a motor and rebuild the bottom end to forged internals new bearings ,ect.and would like some suggestions on piston brands & compression, rods as well. sorry for the long post but i've read my eyes out for the past year on search, and still have some quetions so i thought it might be time i join up and get some things anwered. also there are no dsm tuners in my area that i know of any body know of someone in the central ky area. or northern va i frequently visit there.thanks

All I can say is get a Vortech S-FMU to replace the Cartech (AKA Craptech) FMU.

pistons have been discussed through and through.....not enough reading
piston choices.....JE, CP, Weisco rod choices.....Eagle, Crower
i think you are better buying the stage 3 kit from hahn and getting it all at once. these questions are basic so go buy the kit.

Just out of curiosity, but how much is their stage 3? They changed their web site so it doesn't show the prices of anything above stage 2. I was going to get a rebuild from VT but if Hahn's stage 3 is cheaper, I might just get a local machine shop to machine the block for me and do the install myself.

well there are too possibilities high compression or low compression. there is one member on this board going high compression turbo and most other low compression.
Take your pick read the pro-conns is all the posts
Personally i choose 8.6:1

if you plan on rebuilding and going with higher boost why not skip the sfmu and go straight to the megasquirt.
