Hey guys... to connect my fuel pressure gauge I used those connectors that have screw-in end on one side and the hose barb on the other. I teed of a line for it. I think my fuel gauge is broken so I bought a new autometer (I had the HRC one) mechanice fuel gauge and I tried to screw it in. The width is the same but the threads seem to be thicker than the ones on the HRC gauge and I cant screw it in. Do you know where I can get the connectors? The ones I currently have I got from Home Depot. thanks.

Also, this new autometer gauge has a power line for it but the HRC one doesn't... did i get the right one? I think i did but my old one didnt need power or a ground or anything.

Well it sounds like this is an electrical guage rather than a manual guage. Does it mount inside the car or outside? If it has a power it's most likely made for use inside the car and that means it should have an isolater to keep the fuel outside the car. Is there a control box with the guage? Also the size of the autometer is prolly an 1/8" NPT fitting. So all you need is a new T with an 1/8 inch NPT port (you can get this at home depot). This should all be in the directions though...

Nope no control box. it is the mechanical. It cost 30 or 40 $, I dont remember. I'll check Home Depot again out tho.

Mabye the power is for illumination. :shrug

Well, is the autometer an guage electronic boost gauge? Does it have a little MAP sensor?? If not then it must be for elumination.
