I'm having many problems with my car now. I just put in the turbo and sfmu and everything and took it for a test drive. here are some problems.

1. Car occasionally stalling when stopping.
2. Car idles at around 700 rpm.
3. Car's boost goes all the way up to 13-15 psi on stock internals.
4. Car shooting out lots of black smoke.
5. Very choppy idle.
6. Fuel pressure doesn't seem to raise when boosting.
7. Car smokes under the hood.
Now i don't have a front O2 sensor which might cause a problem. Also have a small exhaust leak which is prob. why it's smoking. But is there anything else i need to check to get this all working?

1. check all vacuum lines. (probably fuel related tho)

3. TURN DOWN BOOST!!!!! or KABOOM!!!!!!!!!! what wastegate, turbo you using?
4. Black equals rich. how much fuel PSI are you at idle?

no front o2 sensor??????? why. no one here can help you without having a front o2 sensor. get that and see how many of your probelms are fixed, then come back an ask. also get that leak fixed.

Dude, your being silly/stupid. running a turbo without an 02 sensor. how many times you boost to 13-15? i hope you have a motor left to get running better.

It's only been up to like 13 once or twice. Im trying to get a O2 sensor but i was just checking to see if there was anything else i can do.

i have a t3/t4 with internal wastegate.

And fuel pressure is about 48psi idle on stock.

Ummm cars don't run right without an o2 sensor, probably most of your problem.

OMG!! 48psi idle??? that's freaking insane dude! Your running rich as pig... Stock injectors you should be around 20-25psi at idle. Fix that O2 as well.. You need to be VERY carefull specially on stock internals how much fuel you dump into there... i mean you don't want to run lean.. but too much fuel you will wash your oil from your cyl walls and end up with a blown engine.... This exact thing happend on engine #2 for me...

The stock setup is 40-50 psi at idle (depending on which car you have). On stock injectors with the turbo, you will probably end up around 50-55 psi at idle. The HRC kit asks for 80-90 psi at 6 psi boost. I'd expect that you'd want a little more fuel than that. Get your oxygen sensor and figure out why your boost is so high. That is not a good idea on stock internals.

ok so I got an O2 sensor. I was running super rich. But it's still smoking a lot. And my idle is very choppy (aroung 700rpm) What should it be idling at? Also whenever I hit over like 3psi my engine leans out. So maybe i need other SFMU disks. But on the sfmu should the boost be all the way in and vac all the way out? And is there anyhing else i should check.

13 psi a few times on stock injects on a stock motor? I'd do a compression test right away on it. Your bad idle could be a cracked piston ring land on one or more of your pistons. I could barely get the 310 cc injectors to give me enough fuel for 13 psi..I'd bet you ran it too lean for a brief moment, and got some detonation, and did some piston damage. Do a comp test, and while the motor is idleing, pull the oil dipstick out, and see if its puffing any air/whitish smoke out. If it is, then cracked ring lands. It doesnt take much detonation to kill these pistons. If your boost gague has vac on it, you will notice it has lower vac at idle too. Should have 17-20 hg's at idle.
