like i posted before, i spun another rod bearing and its knocking away again. i am going to try to use some oversized bearings so maybe they will hold. if they dont, can i change my rods and pistons just by dropping the oil pan. by looking at it, i think i could but im not sure. anyone know? also, if i have to change the rod, im going to get something good and some good pistons too so i can turn up the boost. i wanna run like 16psi. if i do change them, should i get the 8:6:1 eagle forged rods or what others should i get. ive heard good and bad about eagles, so you guys let me know what rod/piston combo i should get and also what size injectors i will need. lemme know about changing them too and the idea about the oversized to try to hold me off for like 3 more months. thanks guys/gals!

if you do it, you gotta do it right and turn the brank over. You probably have a .005mm error buffer on these engines. You cant just throw in a bearing if the crank wasnt machined to accept it. I would know im working on my 3td motor now. You have to pop the head off to drop new pistons in and if you do the right way is to have the block bored too

i just need something to hold me over until winter, so like 3 months. i am going to try oversized bearings and see if they hold, like 2000 over cuz a guy from howell said 2000 over would hold for a long long time and a guy at a shop by me told me the same. are they wrong ???

okay now all of a sudden i was drving on the highway and the car was like hesitating real bad and when i turned it off, it started back up then stalled, then same thing again and then i gave it gas it stayed running, also, it started idling real bad now too. it like shoots up to like 1500rpm then comes back down to like right under 1000 where it normally is. is this from the one fucked up rod or whats wrong? i just need a whole new long block, besides that fact, i need to fix whats wrong ~ any ideas here?

Sell it and buy a Honda...

might be an 02 sensor or something, any cel's?

the check engine light did come on yes, i will check in the morning for codes. thanks for the idea~

here is the code my scanner picked up ... P0505 - Idle Control System Malfunction. What the hell is that ????

its your idle air control motor, either replace it ot pull it off and clean it out with some carb cleaner or something. sometimes they are known to give us some problems. also check the wiring for it, the wiring may have touched the EGR pipe and melted it or something. either way its either the sensor, or the wiring. clean the sensor first. its located on the back of the throttle body with two phillips screws holding it in if i remember right. i highlighted it for you here in this pic:



basically, disconnect the harness....get the bolts out, and pull the sensor out. theres a pointed barb that goes into the throttle body with an O-ring around it. thats what needs to be cleaned. either some gunk or wd-40 or something like that will work. put it back in, see how she runs. make sure its cleaned good. if it still gives you problems, check the wiring and/or replace the whole sensor.
