blocking the radiator. Time to look into aluminum radiators, water wetter, ways of increasing flow to stock radiator

Yeah when i put on my HRC universal FMIC, coolant temps went up considerably. Its mostly because of the removal of the plastic air damming, and also the IC blocks or limits flow from the radiator. I put in a 180 stat, and leave the passenger side fan on all the time, and temps are from 185-195 most of the time, even during hard pulls and warm weather.

I use to expierience this too. After I got a bigger downpipe it seemed to aliviate this. Also you might want to try a product by Red Line called Water Wetter ( http://www.raceshopper.com/other_fluids.shtml ). It helps.

yea, now that its hot summer days, i get temps up to 210 on long pulls. a little high in my opinion, but they go down over time to around 200...

Mine overheated all the damn time right after the install. Ended up replacing the rad cap, oem thermostat and flushed the entire coolant system. She never gave me grief after that. Check the basics before you start plopping down large sums of money on parts you might not have needed.

hey thanks for the info. yah, im thinkin bout getting a bigger downpipe from the cat back soon, also i was thinking bout getting new aluminum radiator but im broke as it is for the moment, i will deffinately try to flush and fill and change the cap. my thermo is brand new. it sux driving my car and not boostin uphill, i can see my temperature skyrocket, that i end up goin very slow on the slow lane.
