I probably should have asked this BEFORE I bought and installed these Wiseco's. How much boost will I need to run to get any gain out of these? I'm planning on 8-9 psi for now, and uping later. Should I have just gotten the near stock ones?

Run as much as you are built to run. With larger injectors and the sfmu, 12-20 psi is feasible, althought the stock clutch might need to be upgraded.

I installed a spec stage 3 clutch so I should be good there. I searched and read alot of stuff before I got the 8:8:1's and thought that was the best way to go. But the other day I saw a post about how you lose like 4% of your hp per cyl by doing this. I belive the person that made the post was going to run na though. So I should be good for hp with the turbo right?

just turn the boost up 1lb. and you will never know your "8.8:1"

You did upgrade the rods too right? I know other people have run forged pistons on stock rods and I believe the rods kept braking around 13-14psi. So if you upgraded the rods too then the sky is the limit with supporting mods. If you just did the pistons then keep it on the low side like I stated above...

Well unfortunatly I wasn't able to afford the rods at the time and only used forged pistons. But now that I have plenty of extra around the damn thing is back together. I'm only looking to run like 9-10 psi anyway, until I get the hang of everything. Gives me something to look forward to as well. Don't want to do it all in one whack, I'd hate to get bored with it. I don't see that happening for awhile though. I'm in the process of removing the tranny to fix an oil leak. I must have knicked the rear main seal when I installed it. :puke So I've only got about 13 miles on it so far. But I love to hear it spool. Its the coolest thing ever.

I'd like to hear the semantics on why Wiseco 8:8.1 pistons loose 4% hp on each cylinder. This is very intriging to me considering I just rebuilt my bottom end with this pistons ... but I have pauter rods :thumbsup
