my setup is a 14b with 30lb injectors, sfmu, fmic with 2.5" piping, warbro 255 fuel pump....the car just doesnt seem like it has the power that it should...oh yeah, i have custom je 9.6:1 compression pistons with eagle rods....anyways, when i floor it in first, it doesnt really pick up and go until 4grand...i know the turbo will take some time to spool up, but i dont think thats my problem....at first i was running about 7-8 psi.... in second gear, lets say im costing at about 2500 rpms, then floor it, it kind of hesitates until 3500-3650, then rips.... is that detonation? the other thing....with only 7-8 psi and a hard 3rd gear pull im hitting 1600 then some...i shut her down once it hits 1600 but i dont think it should hit that high with only 8psi and 30lbs.... my logger wont log so its completely worthless.... i have the 2.72 disk and the softer spring...if i put the biggest disk in, will that help with detonation? any help? anyone around pittsburgh area that can help me tune? ...thanks

run the biggest disk, and use the bleed valve for tuning under boost.

whats your fuel pressures?

You still dont have your logger working?

Anyway, put the largest disk in and the darker (harder) spring in. If you dont have a fuel pressure gauge then you prob should get one.

From my last log I was running an 02 reading of 1.02V, so I think that I need to lean a tad on the top end. My EGT's still seems to climb quickly up to 1600, but I let off as well. So I am kinda stumped on that.

Run the largest disk, i had problems when i had that disk in my sfmu> Ever since i put the largest one in, i run better and that is at 12-14 psi on 30lb injectors.

no, still cant get my logger to work...im going to give them a call maybe today.... my springs arent colored at all...i have a stiff one and a softer one.... right now i have the softer one and 2.72 disk...what is the dark spring considered to be? thanks...oh and the reason your egt's are probably climbing so fast is because youre too rich and flames are actually hitting your probe....thats what ive been told.....

Just put in the harder spring. It should be a little thicker and is usually not shiny silver, but just a darker gray/steel looking.

lets see...actually i have a longer and a shorter spring...ive tried the shorter spring/biggest disk, long spring/biggest disk, long spring 2.72 disk, and long spring 3rd biggest disk and they all ran like crap....the only one sort of good is the short spring/2.72 disk.... but it still hesitates....anyone from pa area that can help me tune?

we kind of need to know what fuel pressure you're running at idle, and what you hit when you go into boost...

But a hesitation isn't usually going to be caused by a problem with your regulator, it's usually in issue with fuel cut.

Or more specifically, what ever you have rigged up to trick your map sensor.

i have a missing link...but i think its the older one without the filter thingy.... im a 95, so im not even sure if i need it....
