i have a chance to buy this turbo for cheap. I was wondering what model it is and if its even worth buying. It needs a rebuild but im gettin it for $50. so let me know what it is...

Is that a decent turbo for a stage 2 setup considering it needs the seals replaced. Thats just a pic of housing i have a pic of it apart but you can really see the exhuast housing. ill post it up in a sec.

How about "is it worth $425?". Thats $50 for the turbo and $375 for a professional rebuild and balance. Considering that the turbo is already in peices, I'd figure that its been through something bad. Plus, the compressor wheel has been separated from the shaft. Good luck getting it back into the exact right location (unless someone made reference marks. Just throwing in a $150 rebuild kit might not do it. I'd be really wary about buying a turbo that was in peices.

Looks like an older model. I would at least look for prices / availability of the rebuild kit.

Thats a Mitsubishi TC05-12A turbocharger. I believe they are originally off of the Starion / Conquest models. They flow somewhere around 320cfm.

that's a cute little thing ain't it? it's more like downgrading than uprgrading to me. don't bother, get a S16G at least.
