Well I fixed my most recent prob with a PCV valve. When I had stuff apart (plugs, wires, hoses) I got a set of colder NGK's. Well the car has a miss and code 43. I have them gapped to .035. I think I might have a plug wire not pushed down all the way but I want to make sure that I have the right gap. I checked my wires with an ohm meter and they seem fine. Hopefully I'll get this little prob fixed and get on down to a welder to drop off my Starion!

That's the same gap i'm running.

NGK BKR7E-11's (the 1283's) right?

Eric- are you using the S-fmu or the standard fixed fmu in the star kit?

I'm using standard fixed fuel ratio. It was fine before the pcv valve prob and now the miss. It's raining now so I can't go play with it =-( Hehe I said play wiht it..

Now I have hesitation. The car idles smooth and I can hear nor feel any miss. I made sure all plugs and wires are seated properly. But here's the deal; When I step on it a little heavy it stutters bad. When I step on it gradually it revs fine. I think that maybe I screwed up an Oxy sensor when the oil was being sucked out my exhaust. Any guesses? Oh BTW I'm 21 today! Please respond fairly quick before I become incoherent later!

I have the same exact problem but im too lazy to fix it right now. I think it could be either 2 things:
1) Running too rich at low rpms
---solution, buy a s-AFC and Lean it out
2) DIrty throttle body
---solution, clean it out

I read about number 2 in the 2gnt archives. Someone was having a similar problem and that was the cure.

How can I be running so rich now but not before? The car ran great before. Would hooking up the wastegate to vacuum from the engine instead of turbo make this happen? I'll check the TB now.

The turbo side of my TB is clean but my intake side is got some carbon but nothing unusual. Can I clean it with carb/injector cleaner? I'm afraid that when I clean this that nothing will change--I'll still have bad stuttering on when I get on it. Does anybody know how much an oxy sensor is? If that went bad do our cars have a tendency to run even more rich? (I ask hence Ford trucks and many others do this) How about the cat? Anybody got ideas?

I was having the hesitation problems you have and I replaced the plug wires and everything was fine.
