72024, Good Place to Buy Rocker Arms and Lifters Posted by KTECLIPSE, Jun-02-04 07:54 AM
I need to replace both the rocker arms and the lifters. I've called howell automotive and they have the lifters but the rocker arms are expected to arrive in two days.
Has anyone used the Howell Automotive SBI Rocker Arms or the Eaton Lifters ? If so how are they?
If not, what other brands do you recommend? I would like to get these parts as soon as possible. The dealer wants $433 for a set of sixteen rocker arms (a bit expensive). Howell's are only 139.99 for the set of rocker arms and $90 for the lifters.
Thanks, Kurt

I forget what price I paid, but I know ERT can get the PT Cruiser stuff. I'm thinking they're Eaton, but not sure. Drop them a line. It wasn't much as far as I remember, as I wasn't planning on having them install them at the time and just had them do it as a second thought.
Just another option since you could use a bump...

Dealer. PT Cruiser lifters/rockers are all you'll ever need. IIRC, I paid around $120 for 16 rockers around $80 for 16 lifters.

Thanks for the responses guys. I went ahead and ordered the ones from Howell Automotive as I didn't want to pay the insane price for the dealer parts. This is my first time ordering from Howell so we will see how they do. They were very helpful on the phone.
